Five-time Emmy Award Winner Gabor Csupo, Director & Producer of The Simpsons, Rugrats and Bridge to Therabithia is proud to announce the first solo show of Hungarian artist Andras Wahorn in the United States via an 10 day art installation at gGalleryLA. Wahorn will be painting live in the window of gGalleryLA, 319 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica from August 20, 2012 to August 30, 2012 to be followed by a month long viewing of the exhibit titled “Hungarian Cowboys Exchanging Carrots with Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis” from September 1, 2012 to September 31, 2012.
“I always enjoy supporting artists," Gabor Csupo, Founder of gGalleryLA, “and with Wahorn painting in the window is a way for the world to share in his genius.”
Andras Wahorn is a Hungarian born eclectic artist working in the mediums of drawing, painting, objects, film and music and is the Founder of the Wahorn Airport multimedia complex. Warhorn gained international fame when he was decorated with the Knight Cross, Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic - one of Hungarian’s highest civilian honors and the Australian International Video Festival Open Video Art Award. Since then Wahorn has traveled the globe showcasing his work in well known galleries; from New York to the the Hungarian National Gallery and the Collection Riz Roma in Italy.

“Hungarian Cowboys Exchanging Carrots with Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis” is Wahorn’s interpretation of the experience of having both Hollywood A-listers Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis filming in his native Hungary earlier this year. Pitt was shooting the much anticipated World War Z and Willis the fifth installment of Die Hard, A Good Day to Die Hard.
Known for his installations which showcase his purely mischievous flair - a canvas portrait of a Hungarian cowboy interacting with Brad Pitt with a carrot offered in greeting – continues that tradition. A recent painting shows young, cowboys giving each other carrots, while walking across a yellow landscape. Wahorn takes popular culture and makes it infectiously playful.
“Warhorn’s work is very accessible. It’s pop culture-based, but I think that his work broadens his audience. I think he puts a lot of himself into his work. Art is about the energy of the person.” said Marc Schiller, co-founder of the Wooster Collective.
gGalleryLA will be hosting a number of events to experience Wahorn and his work.
From August 20, 2012 to August 30, 2012 Wahorn will be painting live in the window of the gallery.
On August 30, 2012, gGalleryLA will host a Meet the Artist for the media from 11am – 4pm followed by a Ribbon Cutting from 5pm – 7pm and a then a private buyer’s reception from 7pm – 9pm.
On Saturday September 1, 2012, a reception for Wahorn will be open to the public from 6pm – midnight including beverages and a live musical performance.
On August 30, 2012, gGalleryLA will host a Meet the Artist for the media from 11am – 4pm followed by a Ribbon Cutting from 5pm – 7pm and a then a private buyer’s reception from 7pm – 9pm.
On Saturday September 1, 2012, a reception for Wahorn will be open to the public from 6pm – midnight including beverages and a live musical performance.
All the artists' works are currently available for purchase. 'gGalleryLA' located at 319 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica is open to the public everyday weekly from 11 am to 7 pm. Every other Friday from 9 pm to 12:30 am features a salon of musical and visual medium artists.

5x Emmy Winner Gabor Csupo Launches gGallery in Santa Monica
Inspired by Csupo's diverse artist taste, gGallery is featuring the works of over 25 artists, from new talent making stunning debut presentations to classic works from the likes of Pop Culture Master Artist Andy Warhol. The 1,900 square foot space is a sight to be seen and explored as it interweaves artists and formats, creating a journey for the aficionado. From paintings, sculpture, drawings, exotic antiques from around the world, mixed-media, and folk art to the lighting and music, every nook is to be explored.
As a tastemaker Csupo does not shy away from introducing new talent and the gGallery is an extension of that, debuting the most innovative artists Los Angeles has to offer, including Baron Margo, famous for his metallic creations that play on the Sci-fi classics of the 1950's like Flash Gordon to pencil signed Marc Chagall and Keith Haring lithographs.
An extensive collector Csupo is showcasing pieces from his private collection including pieces from master game-changers such as the cast bronzes of Pablo Picasso and the pencil strokes of Salvador Dali ... all displayed under mannequins suspended from the ceiling.
"What we have done here is to give unique cutting-edge works of art the place they deserve in modern art history. By showcasing such unique art pieces in our gallery our goal is to captivate, inspire and introduce art lovers to a full range of creativity so that the featured artists gain the attention they deserve and take their place in contemporary art," says gGallery Owner Gabor Csupo.
Other highlights of gGallery include the unique works of Parisian Artist Francoise Neilly who features portraits born of the streets of Paris and showcase the artist's true mastery of the elements of fine art and design as well as beautifully framed Noyer prints. All the artists' works are currently available for purchase. 'gGallery' located at 319 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica will be opening with a Grand Opening party on July 14th, 2012 at 7 pm and then to the public everyday weekly from 11 am to 7 pm. Friday’s from 9 pm to 12:30 am will feature a salon of musical and visual medium artists, under the title “Art-Crowd Cluster”.
