'Medvedev Girls' strip in public

The activists are promoting a policy Medvedev enacted in July 2011 which officially classifies beer as an alcoholic beverage to fight beer alcoholism and to control the sale of the drink, which before had been considered as foodstuff containing less than 10 percent alcohol, according to local media. It remains unclear which of the two men will stand in next year's presidential elections, and the 'Medvedev Girls' unsurprisingly said they wanted the current Kremlin chief to stand for another term. (AFP/Dmitry Kostyukov)
